We met with Lynn at her house and she went over the wedding packages with us. She narrowed it down to two resorts that are located next to each other, one being more expensive than the other. We asked if there was much of a difference other than price. She said no, 24hour room service was the only difference and we would be fine at the cheaper resort. Then after talking to people about it, everyone siad the difference was way bigger than just room service. So we talked to Lynn about our concerns and she told us to go to the nicer resort. At this point I realized that she was jsut feeding us what we wanted to hear, instead of telling us actual opinions.

After we received her prices on the trip (which she said she would get us that night,but took 3 weeks and several calls to remind her), we checked the prices against travelocity and priceline, She was about $400 more on a 5 night stay. So we attempted to contact her to see if it was something different we were looking at or if her prices were wrong, I never recieved a return phone call. I then emailed her to make sure she had received my calls and I have not received an email back and it has been about a month.

She has very poor communication skills and doesn't seem to care about the client at all. We have over 30 guest going to the wedding, wanting to book now, and we are scrambling to find an agent after Lynn dropped the ball on us.

If you are planning an important event that has a deadline, DON'T USE LYNN, SHE HAS NOT BEEN HELPFUL AT ALL

We feel bad using another agent for the wedding since she had help us find the location, but we have no choice when she dropped off the face of the earth. We now are crunched for time and have been put in a very difficult position on something we thought we had hired someone to take care of.

Do not use Alpha World Travel! Lynn has a great personality and was really pleasant, but communication was inconsistent. Sometimes she would email right back and sometimes it would take her 2 weeks. It was frustrating. Some of the information that she gave us about our resort was outdated...like the prices of excursions, the departure fee for leaving Antigua, etc. The worst was when our family tried to return to the US after our wedding and discovered that their connection from Miami to Raleigh was illegal- American wouldn't even tag their bags to Raleigh. There wasn't the mandatory 1 1/2 hours needed to go through customs, so they had to spend the night in Miami and then they couldn't all get on stand by the next day. My brother in law ended up renting a car and driving all the way back to Raleigh. Lynn should have checked the flights before we left, but didn't. Then she lied to me and several of my family members to cover her as$.
