This golf course located next to the Goodyear blimp airfield in Carson is a very nice layout. Converted by the Arnold Palmer design company many years ago from a rough pig-track to a respectable links course, you can enjoy wide fairways and very good greens. They have had great difficulty maintaining the fairways as the course is built on a former landfill and methane kills most varieties of grass. Now they are planting paspalum and having some success. I love to walk and not pay a lot of money, so this place is ideal. The wind is the most challenging factor as with most links style courses. With a county card you can play for a very reasonable price and the crowds have not yet come back from the hay days of its initial redesign.
