It has been an absolute pleasure working with Mr. Jack Kalisvaart. Jack was the driving factor in the completion of our 1 bedroom / 1 bathroom granny flat that we built at the lower portion of our property. During the planning and construction process, we faced numerous struggles and adversities working with the City of Escondido as well as other governing bodies. However, we successfully managed through each of these struggles with the experience and expertise of Jack. His extensive construction background and knowledge were vital to our project and seeing it through to completion. His background extends to all aspects of the building process and he was an asset from the very beginning to the very end. Additionally, Jack’s integrity and loyalty to our project were second to none. Throughout our project we quickly learned that these two traits in the construction industry are severely absent. Jack will not compromise his integrity, or your project, for any amount of money or to simply less the burden upon himself. He will continually fight for his clients and provide constant support and guidance to ensure his clients make the best decision possible for their project. Lastly, Jack stays in constant communication with his clients to make certain their needs and wants are consistently being met and they feel comfortable during the entire process. If there is any question he does not know the answer to, he will find it, or find someone who does without fail. Jack will undoubtedly be the greatest asset in bringing your project to fruition no matter how small, big, challenging or complex. We can guarantee you will be beyond grateful for his work and help to make your building dreams a reality.

This Jack guy (actually Jacob) is one of those lunatic right wingers who harasses people about their different viewpoints. If you want to employ a bully, hire this guy. Otherwise, I'd keep my distance.

Home Design & Remodel





Jack has helped us through several stages of our home remodel, and we have always been grateful to have him leading the team. He saw us through each stage of the process, from design, through budgeting, permitting, project completion and the final cleanup. Jack helped us with two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room remodel, so we know each other pretty well now!.

Probably the most important thing to know about Jack is that he is a perfectionist - so rare in today's world, and definitely what you want when your home is at stake. He and his crew were always professional and a pleasure to work with. Of course the finished product was beautiful, and on time. We cannot recommend him highly enough.

I spent a good two weeks inquiring on Design and Build Contractors when I met Jack, I knew immediately after reviewing my project with him he was the guy. He was personable, professional, and an absolute pleasure to work alongside with me and my husband. The project had its difficulties along the way. But I have to admit that he was even more knowledgeable than I imagined when it came to design, permitting and budgeting. From the project development to completion, he couldn't have done a better job. Jack has a true knack for attention to detail--something extremely hard to find these days. My kitchen and bathroom remodel looks like something out of a magazine, he exceed our expectations. Jack met our deadline and even finished the project earlier than we expected. Ultimately, I can't say enough praise for Jack and his team of subcontractors and his contracting abilities. I would highly recommend him to anyone without giving it a second thought!

Jack took on a job of fixing my house so that I could rent it out to a couple with very young children. It had to be done in certain time frame with a lot of different detail work. Jack kept me informed of his progress the whole way through, he was always accessible and returned my phone calls promptly, he explained things in terms I could understand, and he was very thorough. He did a top notch job and I am very grateful.

My husband and I hired Jack to do our home renovation. He had excellent ideas and the final results really showed his design talents. He was able to utilize and impliment modern materials and quality craftsmanship. His attention to detail and keeping things "clean" really stood out throughout the project. Jack oversaw the entire project to it's final completion. We highly recommend Jack Kalisvaart Design for your next project.
