I couldn't disagree more with the other 2 reviews. First of all, I want everyone to understand that by the date these 2 other reviews were written they are talking about two different directors. So I don't want someone to assume that this one person is being discussed in both of these reviews. I personally have had 3 children go through Alice Wright. That's probably more than most people have. I can NEVER imagine them hurting my children. My daughter LOVES going there everyday. I strongly disagree that the director or any of the teacher's could care less about children with special needs. I myself am in the field of early education and have been for over 15 years and am a professional here in the Carbondale community that works with families and children and I would absolutely recommend Alice Wright Learning Center to anyone.

Like the title says, the director is horrible. She is cruel and could care less about children who have special needs or a little extra time adjusting. My child came back with bruises on his legs from them grabbing him ( I could see finger outlines). Aside from one of his teachers, all others I talked with were very cold and acted like they didn't like kids. But the director is the worst!! Avoid this place.

i placed my daughter in alice wright because she has health problems and of there smaller class sizes. they told me they would be more then happy to help. they were very nice. until the main director came back from leave. then she gave me nothing but problems. told me she could not accommodate my child and told me this would be my last day. she was very rude and pushy. i spoke with another parent who had similar problems. i would not recommend this daycare to anyone!
