Do not do business with Cape Landscape Supply. We ordered 2 cu-yds of no. 57 limestone gravel for $361 (including underlayment and stakes). What we received was 55% limestone, and the remaining pore space (porosity) was filled with a matrix of silt & sand-size particles (~35%) and air (~10%). As we were spreading the product, we noticed the matrix from top to bottom. We took numerous photos of the shoddy product. {I have a BS, MS, and Doctorate in geology & geophysics, and teach physical properties to my students and have a few published scientific papers in the field of geophysics.} We asked for them to come get the product and asked for a full refund. They refused to get the product, and refused any refund. They said just hose it off. All that would do is allow the small grains of dirt to go to the bottom, which will grow weeds. That is what we are trying to avoid, but they don't care. They told us to shovel it back into a pile on the driveway so that they would come pick it up. We are in our 60's! However, they dropped it with their truck next to our driveway where we had carefully placed our underlayment and they expect us to shovel the entire pile back onto the driveway! Bottom line, they could care less about their customers. They only offered to give us an additional one cu-yd of the same product and said they can deliver it when it became available in stock. This provides additional evidence that they dug up the pile by scraping material at the bottom underneath any remaining limestone gravel. Therefore they did not have enough quality product to give us, and they should never have sent it in the first place. In the end, we had to order a stop payment with our Bank with a fraudulent debit card transaction. We will also write reviews about their service and products, and how they treat customers to the Better Business Bureau.
