Horrible school, the first tea...

Horrible school, the first teacher I had didn't even have experience in the field I was being taught, the second teacher just passed everyone, my last class I was absent the EXACT amount of days that make you fail (4 days), and despite my A in the class, I was still failed and had to take it over.

They are horrible at getting you an extern site within your range of travel, and even when they do, they give you sites that don't even teach you!

When you're awaiting a phone call from the school, you better not miss the call! If you don't catch it when they call you, and call back, they'll no longer be available, even if it was just 30 seconds! And then you play phone tag for 3 WEEKS!

Wasted Money, Time, and Effort!

Charter College has a very convincing facade on the outside. Their website states in a very uplifting and encouraging way that the school "strives to nourish your personal and professional growth." As a 20-something-year-old who felt down on her luck and rather lost in the world, when I began researching vocational schools to find a Vocational Nursing Program, these words were like music to my ears. My parents and I struggled to figure out a way to afford the 27-thousand (now well past 35-thousand) dollar tuition. For fourteen months, while I was enrolled in the program, we barely scraped by so that I could partake in a school that "allow[s] today's students to complete their degree as quickly as possible." I forced myself every day to work as hard as I could, reassured by statements from the school like, "We measure our success as an educational institution by our ability to place graduates into jobs." The career services department made it a point to visit my classroom consistent, assuring my peers that we would have a happy ending come graduation. Finally, after a long and difficult road that was full of blood, sweat, tears, and sleepless nights, I did the impossible: I graduated with honors! That was in July of 2009. It is now November of 2010, and I am STILL searching for my first full-time Vocational Nursing job. I have visited, emailed, and called the career services department multiple times, pleading for help - all but begging - from the people that claim "graduate placement is the focus at Charter College." I have been turned away feeling like an idiot for not being able to find a job by myself on more than one occasion.

CHARTER COLLEGE IS A WASTE OF TIME, A WASTE OF MONEY, AND ONE OF MY BIGGEST REGRETS!
