My son has been at dogwood hills academy since 2013 he is now in the prek program and he adores his teachers. I also have a 14 month old there who has been there since she was 3 months old and she loves her teachers too. They are the most sweet kind hearted people. Best day care ever!!!

My daughter, now in pre-K, has attended Dogwood Hills since she was 8 weeks old. We’ve had a wonderful experience from the caring staff who have gone the extra mile to make each day great. My child has really flourished at Dogwood Hills through their solid learning curriculum and special programs. It will be very hard to leave next year and go to kindergarten!

Our child has been attending Dogwood Hills Academy since the fall of 2011 and absolutely loves it! We drive out of our way to attend Dogwood because it truly is the best of the best in the area. Braedon loves his teachers and loves his classmates. Everyone there shows a true passion and love for working with children. The owner Susan and director Sabrina are both kind, patient, understanding, and always smiling! I could not ask for a better daycare and one that really feels like an extended family. Our child has grown exceptionally at this school, his vocabulary is off the charts, and his teachers have always been supportive and encouraging in his advancement. Five Gold Stars and highly recommended!

My son went to Dogwood Hills starting in 2007 and continued through PreK in 2010. They gave him a solid foundation for elementary school. When we were ready for our second child to go to preschool we visited some other locations closer to home. That is when we realized the different experience Dogwood Hills offers. No complaints from my family and we have been using them for over 5 years.

As a current educator, I am more than pleased with Dogwood Hills in every aspect. I have 3 children who currently attend and have attended since they were babies. Dogwood Hills has provided my children with a safe, nurturing, and educational environment. My 3 year olds have learned so much at DHA. They are being WELL prepared for Pre-K and Kindergarten. DHA is not just a daycare, it has been an educational foundation for my children.

My daughter attends Dogwood Hills Academy and is in Pre-K. She absolutely LOVES going to school every morning! I am very impressed with the school, faculty and staff. My daughter is learning so much while have lots of fun!

Dogwood Hills is a great school. My daughter is enrolled in the GA Pre-K program there and we could not be more happy with her education. The teachers in her class are excellent. As far as the last review complaining about the cost of food, she should do her research. When I did mine, before enrolling of course, Dogwood Hills is right in the middle with pricing at $115.00 per month. Some schools charge as much as $150.00 to $200.00 for the same type of foods in the Canton area. We are so happy with this school that I wish they offered a Private Kindergarten class for next school year.

Beware of owner as stated by the last reviewer is correct. Susan the owner is extremely unprofessional toward staff and parents. Most other is cordial, she other the hand is the opposite. I have overheard her repremand staff in front of other parents and staff. I have also seen her sit behind the front desk and ignore parents walking in the door. It is sad to treat people this way as the owner of a facility especially since I contribute to the profit she makes every day. I would say its a big one since they charge $115.00 for pre k meals monthly and it is all store brand foods. The stars given are only for the afterschool staff. They have always been polite and offered feedback about my child/children. I have received communication home from pre k teachers and the grammar is incorrect. I would not recommed this nice looking daycare from the outside. Beware of what is inside. Spend your hard earned dollars somewhere else. Thank you for the opportunity to put this information out there for other parents.

The stars are strictly for the staff from '11 (I'm uncertain of who is staffed there now). However, its the owner, & her clear dislike for children, that has me question why she would choose to open a preschool. I have personally heard her complain & speak terribly of children, her own staff, & parents. Does she not know that people can hear her!? Let alone, speaking ill of the parents & children is unbeleivably unprofessional & a sure way to lose business. (Thank goodness we left!) We also heard her complain to her front staff about how much she "hates" the Ga prek program & how she "loses money" by having it. My mouth hit the floor! After hearing some of the awful things she said about some of her staff (staff we loved), we wondered how & why the staff stays. Albeit, turnover had been high last year & after what we heard, its not a wonder. State should take a closer look at this owner & reconsider her license. People who clearly don't like children, should not own a preschool.

Whether you read positive or negative feedback on a school, product or business, if it is interesting to you, please make sure to check it for yourself! In regards to Britney R., it has been over a year and I am just now reading your review and you are entitled to your opinion, however, I am the Director that you were speaking of and I would NEVER ask for registration for a GA PRE-K ONLY student. This is a HUGE violation of the GA Pre-K Guidelines and I would never jeopardize our contract over something like that. If we asked for registration, it was because the prospective student was needing either before and/or after school care. I apologize if that for some reason you have something against DHA or me personally, but I loved that school, the students, their families and the team with my whole heart! It is obvious that you did not know us very well nor take the time.

@kids at DHA and I am so incredibly impressed! I am a certified teacher and feel that this place has a staff that is above and beyond qualified, loving and has the highest expectations for themselves. My children are sooooo attached to their teachers, who contrary to one reviewer's comment, have remained the SAME the entire time they have been enrolled. Every staff member knows my children and they are HAPPY!!! I can not recommend a better place for anyone to send their precious children:)

I am SHocked to read the negative review of Dogwood Hills Academy! I have 2 children at Dogwood Hills Academy and we LOVE IT!!! Each and every staff member knows my children and they LOVE the teachers! The facility is absoulutely AMAZING and my children are happy, loved, engaged and building strong friendships with other kids. I honestly believe that the staff has my children's safety, education and happiness as it's TOP PRIORITY and I HIGHLY reccommend Dogwood Hills Academy to anyone who wants their child in a loving, safe, fun and educational environment that is housed on an amazing campus!

Dogwood Hills Academy stands tall among other daycares/devolopment centers in Cherokee County. We have tried several other centers in the area, and believe this to be the best. Our son has been enrolled for almost a year now, and still looks forward to going to school everyday. The staff is extremely dedicated to keeping the environment fun and academically stimulating. I strongly recommend Dogwood Hills Academy.

I have a 4YO who attends Dogwood Hills Academy. He is so excited to go to school every morning. There are never any tears when we drop him off, and the teachers are very approachable. Great place!

We still can't believe we shared our child with these people. Our 4 year old is at a different school now but every time we happen to drive by Dogwood Hills Academy she says, "They put me in the grumpy room for the whole day every day and I don't know why."

We have to trust the people who we let take care of our children, but in this case we don't. People who work there impressed us as unprofessional not able to take care of children, and at times some of them even seemed heartless. Many times we saw sleepy, angry, fussy faces of people we didn't know watching the class early in the morning before the regular teacher came in. And we watched from our car through the window how they ignored our child crying as an unknown person accepted her into the classroom.



We have many other complaints as well, but in short, we were extremely disappointed by our experience at Dogwood Hills. We've been much happier, and so has our child, since switching to a different preschool. We would not recommend Dogwood Hills.

My kids love Dogwood Hills Academy! Both my 2 year old and 3 1/2 year old love their teachers and they are learning so much! The playground is great with lots of room to run and play. I'm so thankful to have such a terrific place for my kids to attend.

My child loves attending Dogwood Hills Academy! We thought we'd never find such a beautiful facility with dedicated and caring staff in the Canton area. It's obvious that children come first there!
