My husband I went late on Sunday night. We were probably the last customers. We called ahead to be sure that would be ok and was told, not a problem if you get here before a certain time which we did. Our meal was fine. Since we were the only ones at the table our meal was cooked very quickly. We had full plates to enjy. Our chef cleaned up and off he went. A second person came by to clean the grill again. The problem with this was that they use BLEACH or a cleaner that smells like bleach. He also scrapped the grill of all the grime right in front of my husbands plate! So while trying to eat and enjoy our meal we could only smell bleach and wand had to watch the nasty gunk be cleaned from the grill. When I told the server how discusting that was and how it ruined our meal, he appologized but Never did the manager come over to appologized! Not happy with the experience and poor customer service!

Have been going to this location for a few years now. Recently, we have had many problems. Horrible service, waited 30 minutes to get seated at a grill when I could see at least 5 open grills. That is downright ridiculous. Later went again, portions were cut down by much more than half and a to go order I got did not even include the sauce that they put on the chicken when you dine in. this is absolutely ridiculous and if they had an official website they would definitely be getting an email from me. Will not be going back anytime soon and I suggest everyone do the same.

We love going here....especially my grandson who is a very picky eater...The place is very clean and the food it wonderful.I am not sure what these other people experienced, but we have never had a bad meal there...Tony's I think is a dirty restaurant and the food is just ok..
BLEW IT WITH ME!!! by
Well..Go there A LOT and tonight was a total let down..The chef ran out of rice and had the waitress bring me some from out back which is not the same at all.. Then he never gave me vegtables..Addressed the situation to the manager..He gave me $5.00 off my meal..SERIOUSLY??? You completely screwed up my entire dinner!!!

This place is very clean and looks very appealing however tonight was strike two. The steak and chicken were way overcooked, to the point that is was not edible. The steak was supposed to be medium rare. It was beyond well done. When the server asked how everything was, my family as well as the other family sharing the same table explained that the meat was overcooked. The server responded with "ok" and then brought me the $72 bill for 2 adults and 2 children. The was no manager in sight or that could be found. Strike 1 came several months ago, with similar service. I'm not waiting for strike 3, There are plenty other places to go.
A horrible experience on my Husband birthday celebration by
1/15/12 I made reservations for 11 people to celebrate my husband birthday, all started so wrong from the beginning. Server (Donald)had a bad attitude, soup and salad was served after the Chef stared cooking the food. Drinks were late, Sushi orders were served 1 hour 45 minutes later after the rest of the group finished cold meals. Manager Tom came to table and was refusing to take out the 18% gratuity for a BAD service!! finally after an argument he did take it off..horrible horrible.... will not visit the place anymore,,, .. i felt bad with all my friends and husband... Yamato good bye

Long story short, we booked a birthday party for our 10 yr old at Yamatos. Upon arrival was told we could not have the room we reserved, they sat a party of 15 with one server and he could not keep up. Our salads came after the food was half cooked on the grill. Went and ask the mangager to come over (Tom) He would not after saying he would be right there. Out of 15 guest 11 of us ate together and then the last 4 ate while we were paying our bills. DO NOT EVER GO TO YAMATOS unless the OWNER wants to save his business and get a manager in there with a little business sense. Tom (manager) will bring that resturant down if somethings not done.

I was so afraid to try Yamato because of the negative reviews but Yamato earned every single star!! The restaurant was clean, it smelled great, and the food was amazing! The chef did a great job of blending his skills with conversation and he was especially attentive to our children. The portions were generous and we have plenty of food for lunch tomorrow. Thank you Yamato for a lovely evening! When I find my camera cord, I will eagerly upload a picture. :)
