One of four companies my broker at Bay Harbor recommend and contacted and none of them showed up.
There is a serious tendency in this business toward unprofessionalism and greed. Unless you have a mega yacht and $20K or more in work, they thumb their noses at smaller jobs.
That's a formula that eventually catches up with them and when the business goes into the red, no one sheds a tear. No one feels sorry for unreliable, uncooperative people who put greed before integrity. I eventually brought in someone from another state as SE Michigan is no place to look for someone to work on your boat if you need marine electronics.
