Where does one begin? Windstream Comm. is a criminal enterprise, probably due to the fact that they have continually done as they please, with no apparent accountability to the BBB, nor oversight by them. They do not have to answer to their customers, that seems clear enough. As far as one customer can tell from his cryptographic invoices, as well as from the finitude of reviews offering invective responses to Windstream Communications for lacking in communication skills, it seems safe to wager that an unscrupulous billing practice is the modus operandi by which this company stays afloat. Above the convolution of surcharges and semantics is an "endgame" methodology that appears to be the driving force and factor in efforts to produce a net sum dollar amount for which the company incrementally, covertly steals from its own customers over a length of time, equivocating with and finally redirecting their more-so scrutinizing customers.

I'm a tech in a small call center that calls people about their debts and Windstream in my opinion is the WORST phone company I have ever dealt with. We have an automated dialer that calls our consumers to tell consumers how much they owe on their account. Well Windstream changed the caller ID on us for along period of time and put a call back number that was to no where. This cost our company thousands and thousands of dollars plus the cost of calling numbers where people could not call us back. Windstream offered a $1700 settlement out of the modest $7500 we asked for and we refused them their slap in the face of $1700. Lets just say a BIG legal battle is about to start between the 2 companies and the FCC and my states attorney general will be contacted on this matter. DO NOT USE WINDSTREAM if you have a business they do not take responsibility for their mistakes and have several VERY rude representatives one that yelled at me and others that do not want to work with the customer. We also seem to have a lot of outages with them as well which is sometimes beyond their control but when calling tech support to see what is going on I have sat many times over an hour on hold to try and reach someone. Their motto should be "The Customer Is NEVER Right!"

Terrible Customer Service

Windstream has terrible customer service. As a business customer, we've had our phone lines disconnected once and several other threarts of disconnection. All of this was due to Windstream not being able to post our checks to the correct account numbers. If you contact customer service, expect to be on the phone for 30-60 minutes and be transfered to at least 4 different departments.

Poor Customer Service

This company advertises a "committment to excellence" policy, however, when it comes to providing this service to their customers, it is far from being excellent. It is like pulling wisdom teeth. Usually it takes an act of God to get them to provide you with what you have paid for.
