From the children who gather to watch Sesame Street at their day care center, to farmers who listen to the market reports from their tractor cabs, to commuters whose spirits are lifted by soaring music, the people of central Illinois find that their lives are enriched by WILL. Each week, more than 100,000 people tune to WILL-TV; 48,000 tune to WILL-AM; and 44,000 tune to WILL-FM. The public broadcasting service of the University of Illinois, WILL links thousands of families to the programming of National Public Radio (NPR) and the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS).

WILL is not only a source of high-quality, commercial-free programming; it is an important community resource as well, offering workshops for parents and child care providers and agricultural outlook sessions for farmers.

Key engagement initiatives are the Illinois Radio Reader Service, Youth Media Workshop, Young Learners' Book Mentors, and C-U Fit Families. Key local programs on radio are Focus, The Afternoon Magazine, Commodity Week, agriculture, and Sidetrack on AM 580; Live and Local with Kevin Kelly, Classic Morning with Vic DiGeronimo, Classics of the Phonograph and Classics by Request with John Frayne, and Prairie Performances with Roger Cooper on FM 90.9; and on TV, Illinois Gardener and Illinois Pioneers.
