Mr by none - 06/25/2009Called on phone, asked for information, they were rude. THEIR ADDS SOUND GOOD HOWEVER I WILL NEVER USE THEM !
Not good service! by Sign on here - 01/29/2009We have a furnace that is not very old (less than 9 years) and called Whipple Technician because we thought we were not getting adequate air flow with furnace and sometimes it took a little while to turn on, other than that everything seemed to be running ok. Tech showed up said we had a small gas leak, all chambers were cracked in furnace, and really that we needed to have a whole new Furnace and evaperator coils, plus wanted to clean all of our air ducts which we just completed 6 months ago. Decided to get a 2nd opinion because furnace was not very old, and the new tech said it just needed a good cleaning and the evaporator coils cleaned really well, which Whipple tech said cleaning coils is a waste of time that we need to replace them. Technician ran test did not see a gas leak of any kind. So it cost us MUCH LESS money for the tune up, and we avoided a MAJOR RIP OFF from Whipple, and the unit runs fine now! Whipple was just using these crazy scare tatics.
Didn't show up after rescheduling by Chasquido - 01/09/2009I received a brochure in the mail about a $249 faucet including installation. They said they'd be there between 2 and 4 PM on Wednesday and would call 1/2 hour before arriving. At 1:30, they called to tell me the didn't have the faucet but were expecting a shipment on Friday. I said, fine, and rescheduled for between 3 and 5 on Friday.
On Friday, they didn't call. I called at 4:30, and the claim they called and left me a message on my machin at 1:30 and because there was no response they didn't send a "technician."
The phone number I left was my cell phone - there certainly was no call or voicemail, so they must have called someone else, if they called at all. Also, why would they call at 1:30 if they scheduled between 3 and 5 PM?
Sounds like from the other reviews on this site that walking away after the second missed appointment is the right decision.
You can't be a "Service Champion" if you don't even show up....
Horrible by Julieo - 06/21/2008Whipple plumbing tried to charge us $600.00 to use a pipe snake. I could go and buy the equiptment myself for $400.00. This was the most overpriced plumbing service I have ever heard of. I would never call them again.
