They've been grooming my dog Bosco for years now, and do a great job! Will continue to take him there forever.

I bought an African grey there... My bird was hand-raised and hand-fed. He's 5 now & we love him so much!! I think it's unfortunate that people write 2 or more reviews to bring down the rating. Give your opinion, be helpful & let others decide. I've always had good experiences there.

DO NOT support this pet shop. They do not care at ALL about their birds, much less the rest of their animals.



They keep some of their larger parrots in cages so small that they cannot even expand their wings. Parrots are highly intelligent, inquisitive, and sensitive creatures. They will NOT come away from this pet store unscarred. The first time I went into this pet shop I was appalled by the conditions of their birds, and it seems it has only gotten worse.



If this pet store cannot afford to house their larger parrots in a humane way, they should not house them at ALL. This store should wait until they have enough money to care for the needs of their animals properly.



I would not recommend this shop to anyone, and I sincerely hope they change their ways for the good of the animals they sell. :(

You have to hold your breathe in this store. The smell is horrible. They have short hours closing at 6:30 and not open on Sunday. How they stay in business I do not know. I have heard from friends that the groom shops is busy so maybe that how they do it. I bought fish food and the employee was very friendly but she must hate going home smelling like that place.

Do not purchase fish from this store. They do not feed the fish properly, nor do they care about the fishes health (if you don’t believe me, take a look behind the tanks). The owners completely lied to me regarding a fish I purchased. Sadly, the fish died after 4 days. This was a costly mistake and I should have known better. I was under the false impression this LFS cared about their animals, this could not be further from the truth, this store ONLY cares about making money, do not buy from this store. I hope this store goes out of business very soon!

I've lived in Albuquerque for 23 years and this place is the best. The best customer service, cool people help you out and get you what you want. All the other stores like to sell you what they want you to have, and they treat people poorly. Westside Pets has everything you need and get you what YOU want. I Won't go anywhere else.
