Western Lands Surveying has a background in a wide range of surveying projects including Global Information Surveys (GIS) for Utilities and Land use, Right-of-way and Easement surveys and research, Cadastral Surveys and research, Satellite Global Positioning system Control surveys, Farm Surveys, Construction Staking, Photogrammetric Control Surveys, Mining Claims, route surveys and celestial observations. Along with above WLS performs research in Land records at BLM, NM State Land Office, Rail Road rights of way, NM State Engineers office, and research in conjunction with Deeds, Leases and ALTA Surveys.
Western Lands Surveying regularly works on projects requiring the attendance or scheduling of public meetings.

Western Lands Surveying operates with a full line of modern instruments including Topcon and Javad Real-time Kinematic Global Satelite Positioning units and Topcon and Leica robotic total stations with computerized data-collector system by Recon, Nomad with TDS and Carlson software. WLS relies exclusively on modern applications (CAD and ESRI Arcmap) and on the latest of computer systems and peripherals.
