Forget customer service-there is only rudeness by
I came to Westar in seach of a microwave oven that I needed to fit a small space where my old microwave used to be. It had to be a certain dimension. I was in and out in ten minutes. The salesman (he never introduced himself) showed me one oven, which he measured, and then told me that there were no microwave ovens with the size I needed. This is how our brief encounter went: I told him that LG made a microwave that size- he said "We don't sell LGs," I told him that I don't want an LG, he said, "well there are no microwaves that size," I told him he hadn't even looked and that my previous Bosch microwave fit the space, he reluctantly said he would look at the Bosch website and he sat down at his desk computer and pulled up just one microwave oven on the website, and said "see, this size is 17inches." I told him that I know that there are small appliances for small spaces, and I told him , for example, that my sister had ordered a small European dishwasher to which he replied "I can get you an 18inch dishwasher," even though he knew I was not looking for a dishwasher. So I asked, "what do you do when someone needs a kitchen remodel and this situation occurs, to which he replied " we don't do kitchen remodels, we only sell appliances. You have to hire a general contractor." See where I am going? This man had a snarky, know-it-all attitude, and obviously did not understand the meaning of "going the extra mile" for your customer. He may have been right, but it was the unhelpful manner and actually a subtle rudeness in finding fault with everything I said. I finally turned around to leave, and he said "Have a nice day" to which I replied in a frustrated tone, "No, you have a nice day" to which he replied "I will." I could hardly believe that I went to a store that specializes in kitchen appliances, and left feeling like I had been the recipient of someone's animosity, because I insisted that there had to be a way of finding what I needed. This man also told me "if you find one in the size you need, let me know," as if to prove I must be some looney, clueless woman. All I can say is, I was shaking and upset and could not understand how I was treated this way, when all I was was insistent, but not rude. Beware, and I mean, beware, if you are a prospective buyer. Terrible Order Fulfillment by
Westar Disappointment -
Like the person reviewing before me, Westar is happy to take your money and incompetent at delivering in the timeframe THEY choose and define. The truth is not something important to them, spinning a story is how they do business. Back orders, damaged products, uninformed salespeople.....excuse after excuse. Do not buy from them!!
pay in advance- wait for your product by
Be promised 50% deposit followed by delivery and 50% balance upon delivery. What you get is 100% charge then wait for delivery a few days. When the truck shows up, the order is incomplete. When you call about the 100% charge (afetr being told only 50% in advance) they blame some new hire. Then, when you ask about the rest of the order you get excuses. 9 days in- we're still waiting for the rest of our order-- no mention of back order when they charged our credit card up front a week before partial delivery. If we ran our business the way they run theirs- we'd be OUT OF BUSINESS ! ! ! !
