I have dropped in a number of time to buy comsumables for my Volvo diesel and found the staff very knowledgable and more than willing to help. When the parts had to be ordered in I am always dumbfounded at how quickly they arrive, I think they must have a direct pipeline to Volvo!They are my 1st choice for Volvo and I bet they are just as good for everything else they repair.

I can't come up with enough superlatives to describe the level of service from these guys. I've used them for about three years now, after my old mechanic flaked out on me. Last summer my engine overheated and left me stranded in an empty slip. I couldn't find any obvious cause and was a bit desperate to get out of the slip before it's owner got back. It was the last business day before the 4th of July holiday, and I walked in to their shop at 4:00 PM hoping for some advice of what could be wrong. Even though it was just about closing time their mechanic (Kyle) volunteered to come down to the boat to look it over. He found the problem and even volunteered to help move the boat back to it's slip. At that moment they gained a customer for life with me. You can't go wrong with these guys.

I have been dealing with West Coast Marine for about 2 dozen years. Not only are they extremely knowledgable about old Evinrudes & Johnsons, including my models from the 1930's, 1950's and 1980's but they also know what I need for my old Honda without even looking it up! If I make the mistake of coming in without the model # of what I am working on it is a short conversation, but with Evinrude/Johnson having made motors for 100 years they want to get me what I need the first time, so I have learned to bring my model number. All 9.9's over the last 100 years don't use the same part I guess. I only have great things to say about them. I read the review about "the mechanic was was very rude" and wonder if the customer didn't walk up to the mechanic in front of the shop while he was working on the motor, looking for free advice instead of going in to talk to the customer service personel! At West coast marine customer service is top notch!!!

I have been a West Coast Marine Customer for about 3 years now. (Since Olympic dried up.) In my experiance I was always treated fairly. I experianced a rotten exhaust manifold in my bayliner that unfortunetly cost me most of the engine. I was shown how everything had happened and was still treated well after I declined to have my boat repaired. The mechanic and owner showed genuine interest in helping me find a solution any way they could without just throwing it together. They were straight forward in telling me that getting it done right was more important then just making it go and colecting my money. I will be returning later this year when money permits to fix my boat.

Very rude. Seemed to be put out that I was asking questions. Didn't seem to care about my position.

The owner isn't very knowledgeable with older Evinrude motors. I found the mechanic rude and offensive. Both the owner and the mechanic seemed disinterested in drawing my business even with basic parts. In short, customer service was extremely poor.
