Cosmetic dentistry has also improved dramatically with tooth-colored fillings that replace mercury and metal fillings. Dental lasers are changing the way we serve our patients as well. We use a laser cavity detector to find cavities years before they show up on an x-ray, a Waterlase dental laser is used to treat the cavity and a diode laser to treat soft tissue problems such as periodontal (gum) disease.
