My dog loves this place, always happy to go in and wags her tail the whole time. She seems to really like the employees there, also. I don't know how you could expect to find a better place to keep your pet while you're away from home! It's very clean, smells great and dogs seem comfortable and happy.

Never again!

We had never boarded our dogs before and we're nervous about leaving them, but was reassured that they would be fine. We made sure that the two would stay together to lesson the stress of the separation until we returned. We should have trusted our gut feeling as soon as we walked in the door. The smell almost makes you gag. I didn't expect it to smell like roses or anything, but it was ridiculous to have the place reeking of urine like that. Any way....when we returned and went to pick our boys up the lady informed me that our pitbull had refused to go outside and that they had to clean up the kennel every time he went potty. This shocked me since he loves being outside and is such a lovable guy. When we went to get him out of the kennel he was huddled in the corner and had to be coaxed out, he was scared to death. Then our beagle wouldn't come in from outside, the lady had to pull on his collar to get him to come inside. Why were my dogs so scared there? Plus they stunk so bad, I had to bathe them as soon as we got home. They will never set a paw inside that horrible place again.

The place is expected to have a smell its a puppy selling pet store, boarding, grooming but they are really harsh grooming the animals. All the dogs get covered in fleas, and stay scared there. They never get walked or any kind of human connection there, just food thrown at them and water that's it. The new gal that works there acts like she loves animals but you sure cant tell it. They focus on selling all their breeder puppies far more then on someone's special needs dog or senior canine. Sad to think those babies mothers are giving birth on concrete in one of those little cells. I would never board our dogs there again. And after knowing someone who worked there a few years ago and knowing how the dogs are treated even being groomed we don't groom there either.

Ok, I'll address this, point by point. Our grooming room is right up front, for all to see. We're not hid in some back room, any customer can watch us interacting with the dogs. We have, in fact, seating for the customer that would like for their dog. Many of the dogs, if not on a leash, push open the swinging door, and come right on in to see us, wagging & wiggling all the while. We are very good to all our dogs, and it shows in how they react to us. In fact, a few of our grooming dogs have had to be tranqulized at their former groomers, those dogs are now able to be groomed drug free, at our suggestion. Unfortunatly, some of the dogs coming in have fleas. We give free flea baths to grooming dogs & will give a flea bath to any boarding dog we feel needs it. A flea will jump off a dog to bite me, so we attack that problem on many levels. Boarding dogs are shown a lot of kindness, we understand it is stressfull for them to be away from their loved ones and their homes. That is why we encourage the owners to bring fimilar toys, snacks and beds for their pets. All of us at Wee-Bark are extreme animal lovers, it is a requirement to work there. We bring our own pets to work, groom them & board them there. We only show puppies to customers requesting to see one. Our 'focus' is always on the needs of our customers & their dogs. All moms are given soft clean bedding. There probably wouldn't be many puppies survive on cold concrete. In closing, please remember, their are many reasons for leaving a reveiw, not all of which, are honorable.

Our dog got kennel cough from this facility. The vet said that they've had many instances of kennel cough in dogs who stay there.

So sorry to hear your dog got kennel cough. Boarding your dog in a kennel is much like sending your child to kindergarden, until their immune system is challenged, they are at risk. A Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine is similar to a flu shot, it will protect aganist some, but not all strains of the virus. Actually, considering the number of dogs we board, a very small percentage of dogs contract kennel cough. Again, sorry.
