Water World is located just 15 minutes north of downtown Denver, Colorado, on 64 beautifully landscaped acres. Water World is celebrating it's 30th year of operation this year. Since we opened in 1979 with the first two water slides in the state of Colorado, we now boast over 46 water adventures, and have been rated as one of America's top ten water parks by the Travel Channel.

We feature the largest variety of attractions (46) in America, from Wally World for the tots, to Voyage to the Center of the Earth, the ultimate family water adventure. Water World has more family tube rides than any other park in America. Thrill rides are in abundance also, like the Red Line speed slide. Plenty of picnic areas are available, from covered pavilions to beautifully landscaped grass areas. We feature 3 separate Children's Play Adventures, including the all new Big Top Family Fun Zone.

Picnics are welcome at Water World and the parking is free. Please see our Park Guidelines for what items are allowable to bring in to the park, our raincheck guidelines and various restrictions that we require for your safe enjoyment of the park.

Water World offers a wide variety of food and beverage choices at a very reasonable cost. We feature a large variety of food,, from the classic burger to mouth watering pizza. And you can top off that delicious meal with some of the best dessert items in the west, including our delicious funnel cakes! We also offer a fully stocked gift shop for all those items you must have, from very affordable swim wear, to souvenir items you will always cherish.

Proper swimming attire is required. Cutoff shorts are accepted, only if there are no rivets on the shorts. Thong bikinis are not allowed. Any guest wearing clothing that is offensive, such as clothing with profanity, will be asked to change, or leave the park. Guests are encouraged to wear water-appropriate footwear (such as flip-flops or watershoes) during their visit. We do not allow footwear to be worn on any fiberglass sliding attraction (guest may hold footwear or leave at bottom of attraction). All other attractions allow footwear to be worn.

We have certified lifeguards on all of our attractions. Water World's 300 lifeguards are certified by the National Aquatic Safety Company (NASCO) which was founded in 1974 and provides lifeguard training and certification to a large percentage of the country's lifeguards. They have a notable record of safety and lifeguard training. NASCO has certified tens of thousands of lifeguards, and is continually putting research into their programs and teaching methods so that they can continue to be a leader in aquatic safety.
