I personally have an attachment to this house. I grew up a couple doors away from his Brothers house on Stevens Street. Every morning my Mother sent me to a corner store at 4th and Mickel Street so I had to walk by it everyday. So I naturally became very interested in Walt Whitman and toured his home many times. If you have an interest in him, I would highly recommend a visit to the home. Maybe you also can feel his presence there, as I have.
