GLAD I CHOSE WALTS TV by LANI - 09/25/2009I HAD WALTS COME OUT TO SERVICE MY TV. THE PROBLEM I HAD WAS NOT THERE WHEN THEY WERE AT MY HOUSE. THE TECHNICIAN TOLD ME THAT IT WOULD LIKLY BE 1 OF TWO THINGS. BUT HE WAS NOT ABLE TO DIAGNOSE AT THAT TIME DUE TO THE TV WORKING OK. I WAS GIVEN TWO ESTIMATES 1 FOR $375-410 AND ONE FOR ABOUT $600. THEY SAID THAT THEY COULD BRING THE TV TO THE SHOP AND CALL ME WHEN THEY FOUND OUT FOR SURE. ALL I WOULD HAVE TO PAY EVEN IF I DID NOT FIX IT WAS THE ORIGINAL TRIP FEE OF 59.95. THEY ESTIMATED THAT THE REPAIR TIME WOULD BE 6-10 WORKING DAYS. I PAID THEM THE TRIP FEE AND THEY TOOK THE SET WITH THEM. A FEW DAYS LATER I GOT A CALL FROM ONE OF THE SERVICE ADVISORS AND HE STATED THAT THE REPAIR WOULD INDEED BE THE LOWER ESTIMATED PRICE, AND THAT I COULD HAVE THE SET BACK IN A COUPLE OF DAYS. I TOLD THEM TO GO AHEAD AND GOT THE SET BACK TWO DAYS LATER. THEY COULD HAVE TOLD ME THAT IT WAS THE HIGHER PRICE AND I STILL WOULD HALVE REPAIRED MY TV. BUT MY EXPERIANCE SHOWS THEY ARE AN HONEST PL
GREAT SERVICE by joe - 09/25/2009I needed a new lamp for my TV and Walt's is the place to go for this for sure. I found alot of cheaper lamps online at first. But after I had them fail I went to Walts. I found that the online lamps are Generic's and don't have the same life span as the factory originals. Walt's carrys only the original lamps from the manufacture and had one in stock. I haven't had any other problems since then.

Too Expensive For The Limited Experience They had by arizonaguy - 09/25/20092 techs came to my house to look at my HDTV, they never even looked inside the TV. They guessed it could have been 1 of 3 problems but couldn't really tell. They charged me $59.95, that I agreed to when I made the appointmet, but I thought they would be able to diagnos the problem.
To change the lamp which was one of the diagnosis will be another $150 trip charge plus $250 for the lamp. The part online is $130.00 That would be $210 in trip charges and 100% mark up on the part. Grand total would be about $460 for what is a 15 minute reapir of a $130 part.
Worst service I have ever experienced by meatloaf1 - 09/25/2009I also paid the $59.95 service charge. They took it into the shop and said it should be done in 6-10 days. Estimate $575-600 + tx.They had the set for 3 weeks and could not fix it. Kept replacing parts, trial & error method (I can do that myself) Could not tell me when the set would be ready and did not follow up. They will not return phone calls or commit themselves. Take my advice, before you have Walts work on your TV, do yourself a favor and just throw it away and buy a new one.
Horrible by UGH! - 09/25/2009I went there in search of help with a lesser known Plasma TV brand. Walt's looked at for a 15-20 minutes then preceded to tell me the part I need to address the issue was half the amount I paid for the TV, nearly two years prior. I thought this was odd because tech support and all other reviews I saw online to fix the issue were quoting more than half they were quoting to fix it. They also degraded the brand I purchase then in the same breath tried to turn around and sell me one of their models in store. I left Walt's disgusted and never waste the gas again.
Excellent service by lovesTempe - 09/15/2008Very pleased with their service and professional attitude. The deliverymen, Jerry and Cory, were very careful and answered all my questions. Cory reconnected all of the devices on the set when he returned the set. The employees answer all of the questions thoroughly. A really high quality business in every way. My set works like new. Very reasonable price for high quality work.
Solved my problem correctly first time next day ! by Stans - 05/07/2008Professional, and quick and they do what they say. I strayed last time I needed service and got burned! My grandparents, parents and most of my family use Walts for service and have since before I was born. If you want to buy something there they will match Fry's prices too. Just ask for the japanese guy, he has been there forever. Anyway I am glad they are still around. Thanks the quick lamp replacement (too bad the Suns lost).
