I used a free anti-virus program that my IT friend had recommended, but it just wasn't doing the job.

It might not be free, but you get what you pay for! My "free" program was costing me hundreds of dollars in tech support every year and costing me my reputation for on-time work. Now I just pay a minimal monthly fee and I'm free from tech headaches.

My dad bought me a brand new Dell laptop as a college graduation present. He totally packed it full with all the upgrades! What did I do with it in just two weeks?
