Welcome to University Hospital & Pet Resort!University Veterinary Animal Hospital is a complete small animal veterinary facility and a full-service boarding facility in Tempe, Arizona. We have been serving the East Valley since 1962. Our clients and their pets feel at home in the large friendly reception area. Our waiting area has low dividing walls between seating areas to offer pets individual privacy while waiting. We have been highlighted in Arizona's Best Magazine for our excellent pet care. University Veterinary Hospital and Pet Resort by dkcnaz - 11/01/2009Caby and I have become a client of University Animal Hospital since I became the proud owner of Caby. The doctors have been exceptional, kind, caring and very informative. Caby was at first somewhat apprehensive of her strange surroundings but is comforted in the attention that she receives from the qualified staff. Caby utilizes the resort from time to time and we receive an update on her stay when we return. The staff encourages calls during the stay to reassure mom and dad on how you’re pet is doing. This is always comforting when away on a long trip. If you need to be seen on an emergency basis there is a physician always available to see your pet. I highly recommend University Veterinary Hospital and Pet Resort.
Proud to be a UVH client! by ChillyKitten - 09/23/2009I became a client when I first moved to south Phoenix on a recommendation from my previous veterinarian. I love that University has so many doctors because I can always get in to see someone. The hospital is laid out really well and I *love* the boarding areas! My dog and cats have a great time when they board there. The prices are right in line considering their doctors have so much experience and skill. I like that I can buy my pet food and I can get my dog groomed right at the same place! One time, when I brought my dog, Louie, in for grooming, the groomer found a puncture wound on his foot that I would never have noticed. She alerted my vet who examined him and called me with a treatment plan. I really appreciated the attention that the groomer and the vet gave Louie and it made it really easy and convenient for me to get him treated. I also like that they send me reminder cards in the mail so I don't have to keep track of when all my pets' vaccines and exams are due. Thank you Uni
Great Vet! by Debbie - 03/02/2009I have a few of the vets at University Animal Hospital and they have all been great. The office has flexible hours and a knowledgeable staff. They also are great about accommodating you, for instance my dog was being a little difficult about giving a urine sample (imagine that!)and I had to get to work so they kept for her for the day in their kennel and got the sample they needed and I grabbed her when I got off work. I think leaving her there cost a little extra but it seemed understandable due to the extra service. Great hospital!
