UCCS now offers 29 bachelor's, 18 masters and four doctoral degrees and aims to become the premier comprehensive regional research university in the nation with 10,000-12,000 students. In recent years, U.S. News and World Report named UCCS a top Western public university, placing it seventh in its most recent edition. In addition to its academic programs, UCCS fields 14 men's and women's NCAA Division II sports teams and has a full range of student life programming.

More than 300 active military personnel and 30 U.S. Olympic athletes pursue higher education at UCCS.
UCCS undergraduates are, on average, 24 years old; graduate students are 36 years old.
Approximately 15% of undergrads live on campus, the other 85% commute.
Degrees awarded (July 1, 2004 to June 30, 2005): 1,025 Bachelor’s, 553 Master’s, and 7 Doctoral degrees.

Estimated 2006-07 tuition (full year, 15 credit hours per semester): In-state tuition: $4,066*. Out-of-state tuition: $15,300. Fees: $1,048. *College Opportunity Fund deducted.

The Chancellor’s Leadership Class (CLC) is a highly selective undergraduate honors program designed to develop effective leaders. To allow students to focus their full attention on the program, CLC provides a $3500 scholarship renewable for up to four years.
Athletic programs: UCCS competes in 12 intercollegiate varsity sports in NCAA Division II.
UCCS offers more than 100 student clubs and organizations.
