Worst ever

They put on new roof, broke pieces of trim never replaced, forgot to put up my gutters sent out another crew who made them look up but 1st snow fell down. Some rotted wood above window on 2nd floor the never replaced so when that gutter fell I can see the rotted wood. I have visible straps over my shingles which should have been put under. They took off my awning over back door never replaced. A 2nd roof they installed during same job is wrong. Now their numbers don't work. They also came with a different company name to my door that was BBB rated. Their company is not. I now have thousands of dollars of work that needs done to fix their mistakes that I just don't have to pay. They took every penny of my insurance claim for the roof repair. The workers were openly smoking pot, getting high, trashed my yard, broke my wheel barrow since they did not have 1, left hundreds of nails in my driveway. I'm a single mom and feel completely violated.

horrible service

Representative Zack Gross stated the workers knew how to work with gutter guards and would fix rotted wood. We had to micro manage these workers and things were not done correctly. Paid out of pocket to fix my gutter guards which they demolished. And then they ripped a $900 fabric awning which they stated for me to order and they would pay for and then did not. Now their building is empty, website is down and phones are disconnected.

Horrible Amateur Incomplete

I contracted United Home Solutions to replace the framing for the back door to my home. WORST experience I have ever had with any construction group! I was provided with a list of supplies to purchase (which included interior and exterior casings, door jam kit, nails and caulk) and the work was scheduled a month later. I took a full day off work and they were supposed to be at my home between 11:00-12:00. They did not show up until 5:10 p.m. They also did not have the equipment they needed to do the work. They left for more than an hour to get the equipment and only one person came back and still had to borrow tools from us. That person cut pieces to replace the casings and door jam but at 8:30 was nowhere close to finishing the work. We had to ask him to leave since it was dark by this time. The only thing that had been done was some replacement pieces were cut and the door jam was installed and the door hung in a temporary fashion (one bolt in each of the required areas where there should be 4 each). We could not even close our back door so we had to prop it closed with a heavy vacuum cleaner. The worker was supposed to return the next morning and finish the job. He did not show up. Around 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, another worker showed up to finish the job. At this time we were informed that we did not have all of the required supplies. They needed trim nails which we ended up having to borrow from a neighbor and the female parts of the door locks (they threw away the ones we already had). We were also told that the interior and exterior casings have been cut incorrectly by the previous worker and they will have to go get new ones. This tech left the premises several times on Saturday and was gone for over an hour each time. He returned with casings that are not wide enough for the exterior (short by about 1") but installed them anyway. He then filled the 1" area around the entire door casing with caulk. It looks awful and definitely amateur. This tech put in maybe 2 hours of work and did not leave until 8:30 p.m. Job still unfinished, can't close door, 1/2" open air space at top and bottom of door; interior casing doesn't fit; they left a huge mess on my deck as well as two circular saws, a level and an extension cord which I have to secure to prevent theft. The Tech that was at our house on Saturday assured us he would be back on Sunday to finish the job. He did not show up. We called the coordinator at around 11:00 a.m. on Sunday and requested he come out and look at the mess we had been left with. He assured us he would stop by that afternoon. He did not show up and I contacted him again by text at 5:47 p.m. on Sunday. He responded that it was his first day off in three weeks and he was not coming out but a Tech would be at our house Monday morning to fix the problems. I responded that this was unacceptable since we can't even closed our back door. He replied that he had contacted the owner who had agreed to have the entire job redone on Monday at their expense. Although at the end of my patience I accepted that offer. Monday - no one from this company showed up all day. I had to take yet another day off of work for these people and no one showed up. I received two phone calls from the coordinator assuring me that a Tech would be at my home that afternoon, however, no one has shown up and I have received no response to my attempts to contact them. This company has so far cost me two days of lost wages, cost for materials that i will now have to re-buy; I cannot close my back door so I will have to take yet another day off of work at minimum; I will now have to hire someone else to undo the damage this company has done as well as do the work that I had hired this company to do and I am expected to secure their equipment they left on my deck! DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE FOR ANYTHING! ...

Theives

Had these crooks come and put a new roof on my house, they did great work and were done within a day of start after I paid them. The next morning I woke up to some of my tools and stihl trimmer gone.

Stay away - can't get contractors to work- I wonder why

We have had issues for several months with two different customer service representatives talking good but providing minimum. Now the second one has demoted himself. I believe since he has no power to make what his word stand up he did not want to have to deal with customers anymore. They say one thing but they must not have a good enough relationship with contractors to get them to work for them. They recieved 50% of an insurance claim and performed only about 30% of the work. Now I can not even get someone to pick up their phone during business hours. I use to get people to answer during the weekend when contractors would not show but now not even during the week will they return a message. This might end up in court.

Excellent Company

Excellent company. New roof and no $ out of my pocket. very professional. These folks know what they are doing. The roof is perfect and my home was left with no cleanup for me to do. not one bit of a mess. Thanks United Home Solutions for a job well done.

Quick and Professional

I was contacted by a company representative about the storm damage my roof recieved during the "Sandy" storm. I had tried to fix 2 spots on my roof where I had lost shingles but I am not a roofer. My repairs looked shabby. What I didn't realize was when we had strong winds my shingles were lifted up and peeled back in large clusters. When the wind stopped, the shingles would lay back down and when I looked up at my roof I didn't notice the problem. I was promised by the company representative that my roof would be approved for replacement "at no cost to me". I didn't believe him because I have learned that nothing in life is free. After my wife and I talked it over we figured that, even if we were out our deductable, a new roof was needed. So we agreed. We made an appointment, and with the rep, called our insurance company. We were amazed at how easy it was. We were immediately given a claim number and an inspector was sent out. We had more damage than we had ever imagined! I'm really surprised that we didn't have huge water damage upstairs. Within a week of the inspection we had a crew from United Home Solutions at our house and in less than a day our large (and steep) 2 story roof was done!!! It looks GREAT!!! They replaced the standard 3 tab shingles with the better looking dimensional shingles. It totally changed the look of our house and to our amazement.........it came at NO COST to us, whatsoever!!! After our roof was done I told my next door neighbor about the deal we recieved on our roof. His new roof is being installed next week! Another neighbor AND the church across the street signed up for roof replacement after they saw the job that was done on our roof. And to my surprise, the representative contacted me and said I was receiving $100 per referral once their roofs were completed. And let me tell you about the crew the company sent. They were very professional and courteous. The work was exceptional. And they cleaned up the mess to the point that when they left I went out looking for roofing nails or small pieces of shingle..........and I didn't find ONE nail or fragment! My wife and I are extremely satisfied with the job and service and we recommend United Home Solutions to anyone needing repairs. What we saved by not paying a dime for our new roof is going to pay for our house to be painted!!! Plus since our roof was covered for "Storm Damage", our insurance can't be raised nor dropped. It's a win/win!!! Thank you United Home Solutions!!!

Beyond rude employees and an owner that doesnt care.

First let me start off by saying that my experience with this company was awful and I recommend that no one ever us them! The owner doesn’t care. His wife runs the office and is very rude. And lets not forget the production manager who is not only rude but inconsiderate. My experience started with them this past winter. I was approached at my home by a pushy salesman. My husband insisted that we do this because we did need a new roof. After talking with the salesman who seemed to know what he was talking about and was very engaging (the only good thing about this company) we decided on a roof. Production was set. The roof was completed in a little over the day. Although the roofers were less than professional and were smoking pot on my property. They cussed and I had small children at home. They didn’t clean up my mess. When I spoke to the production manager I believe his name was "lee" he didn’t seem to care at all in fact he thought it was funny. My roof looks a mess. I contacted the office to let them know I was dis satisfied and talked to the owner and his wife. They both only seemed to care about the money. After paying them in full they tried to tell me I stilled owed money and if they didn’t receive it they would put a lean on my home. WOW I Just cant believe how unprofessional this company is! Please don’t use them! I also don’t think this company will be in business much longer or at least I hope not! If you have just started business with them RUN!!!!!!

No Customer Service

A company representative came to our door and talked my husband into a new roof. From there the customer service started going down the drain. The salesman was asked to provide large samples of two particular shingles. He provided completely different samples in completely different colors. After leaving the samples approximately 2 hours later he contacted me for my decision. After informing him that I was provided the incorrect samples he had the wife of the owner call me to ask why I wouldn't tell them which shingle we chose. The salesman then came to my house with the contract to be signed. I did not want to sign it until the shingle had been decided on but the salesman informed me that if he did not have the contract and a check for 50% of the roof that he would not get a paycheck on Friday. I should have asked this company to leave at that time but my husband insisted we continue to give them our business. After picking a shingle from a 2 inch square sample (a mistake - the shingle color is awful) we were scheduled for the work. The work was completed in one day - a plus. My daughter and myself spent 90 minutes picking up roofing nails from the deck, flower beds, and yard so my dog and kids wouldn't step on them.Clean-up was apparently not a priority. They returned on the following Saturday to finish the roof and to fix some minor errors in the roofing job and to receive the remainder of the payment. That was May 14, 2012. We did not have any contact via phone or mail or in person from anyone with this company until August 09 when the owner left a message on my phone and a message on my husbands phone stating that someone from their company had been attempting to reach us for the last 90 days by phone and in person (they say we did not answer the door even though the salesman knew we were home) to receive the remainder of their payment (that they received on May 14, 2012) or he would be putting a lien on my home. I do not have any record of phone calls coming into my cell phone from this company since May. After calling the owner back and reading the deposit information from the back of my cancelled check and requesting a receipt stating that my account is paid in full and something letting me know when his representative attempted to contact us and stopped by my house I was assured by the owner that a representative from his company would personally deliver the receipt to my home that day, 8/14. It is now 9/10 and still do not have a copy of the receipt or warranty paperwork that was guaranteed by the owner. So to recap I have a roof I do not like, no receipt or warranty paperwork and just an all over bad experience with this company. And apparently they really do not care - but how often do they get repeat customers - roofs are only needed once every 20 years and I do not think this company will make it that long.
