Many veterans and their families are unaware of this pension program and how it can help them pay for care they need. Many have even been told by their County VA officers, or the VA itself that the pension does not exist! The staff of the Veterans’ Benefits Division of Underhill and Underhill, P.C. help veterans and their spouses apply for this pension.

Our trained personnel have more than 14 years of assisting veterans. We are also very experienced with the nursing home, in-home and assisted living industries. We know how difficult it can be to have and keep residents. Finances can a very real concern for residents and their families. A qualified veteran with a spouse can apply for financial assistance of up to $23,000.00 per year – tax free. This pension will help with care costs for home care, assisted living or nursing home care. In many cases, the Aid & Attendance pension, along with other monthly income or family subsidies, has made it possible for residents to avoid going on Medicaid and remain in the private pay assisted living home.
