Dr. Michael Lewis
by Terry , 09/16/2013
I had been up for 2 nights itching all over. I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I have a few medical issues, so I have run my course of doctors and nurses and I wonder sometimes if there shouldn't be a few other courses in school they should take before they can become a doctor or a nurse like , bedside manner, how to speak to people etc. I can not believe my day today. Other than the 125.00 doctor visit which is a little steep when you are paying out of the pocket like myself. BUT when you get the care I received today , the 125.00 is nothing but an after thought, from the receptionist in front, to the nurse that took me back and then to Dr. Mike, I was treated with respect, I felt like I was listened to, he didn't make me feel like a number, he joked around with me I felt comforted, cared for listened to, and important. I didn't feel as if I was rushed in and out. If I felt like I couldn't get in to see my primary and needed to be seen then, I wouldn't hesitate to go back to uncommon, Because the care there really isn't the common care , I've seen some really RUDE Dr.s and Nurses in my lifetime, been rushed on out of several offices feeling like I hadn't a clue what had just happened. For me, that is more common than not, and its sad but completely true. If I thought Dr. Mike could treat me for my back issues that I go see my Dr. For I would completely consider coming there instead of the hike to another town. THANK YOU Dr. Mike, The nurse that treated me, as well as the receptionist, for being sweet and funny and considerate and kind and thoughtful and attentive and reassuring and I could go on and on, the point is, if you are in need of a doctor and are teetering on the fence because you aren't sure of the level of care that uncommon provides, teeter no more, Jump the fence on the uncommon side. YOU will not be sorry, I speak from experience, you will not regret your decision. THANKS UNCOMMON CARE ..........

Went in the clinic with what I thought was ear infection! Ended up in an ambulance to the hospital when they detected I was in A-fib. Had no idea. Was very thankful the nurse and doctor on staff that day were on there toes!! I was very impressed and will have no problem going back for medical services. Again - they were great!
Don't Believe Their Published or Over-the-Phone Operating Hours!
by Still Bleeding , 12/27/2012
I called their office tonight after my wife badly cut her hand in the kitchen. I asked for an immediate appointment and was told "No appointments but we're open until 8:00p." The receptionist confirmed that if we got there before 8:00p, they'd see us. I told the answering nurse to expect us and we were underway ASAP because my wife was bleeding badly. We immediately got in the car and drove directly (22 miles) and at an elevated speed to their front door, arriving precisely (per GPS clock - so no arguments about this!) at 7:54p. The door (with a sign repeating the 8:00pm closing time) was locked and the facility closed. Contrary to their posted hours, they were NOT open as promised and/or as advertised.CONCLUSION: Tonight, "Uncommon Care" was more like "Common Discourtesy"; there's "no care" involved.
Dr. Tripp is fantastic!

I was very impressed with Dr. Tripp. He listened intently, explained my condition thoroughly, and didn't make me feel rushed at all, even though I got there just before they closed. I only wish he had a regular practice so he could be my primary care physician! The office staff wasn't overly friendly but she seemed really busy and was pleasant. I will go back to Dr. Tripp next time I am in need of urgent care services for sure and will recommend him to friends and family as well.

They do take Medicare, but have a waiting list. For those fortunate enough (as we have been) to be seen here, you'll count your blessings. To say the Medicare system is a problem is an understatement and these are some of the friendliest people around!

My husband was in pain on This past Saturday, Aug. 14, went to facility for help. Was told that they do not accept Medicare paients. Fine, I will pay cash. I was told that if they put his name in their system and pay cash, Medicare will cut off benefits. I have just gotten off the telephone with medicare. That is not true. This facility is so funded that they refuse service to someone who will pay cash, Amazing and spread fear of being cut off. Poor misguided souls.

Just had a check up for a minor nagging problem. Doctor spent time with me and actually carried on a conversation and took time to answer my questions. Very nice facility too, seems brand new.
