I been here ever since they opened, and it has just went from legit prices and good parts to just complete trash and non working parts. You walk around and there is nothing but shattered glass and parts thrown left and right. its not safe at all to be walking around the area in any means. the prices have gone up and for some odd reason the staff either dont evan speak english at all or treat you like complete trash. go to the junkyards around the area that pull the parts themselves and warranty their parts and test their parts before letting them out the door. All that for a better price than U Pull.

Beware of this place

by VM in RR , 05/25/2013

This place needs to change its name to "U Pull & Scam." I heard about their big 25% off deal on Saturday 5-25-13 so I went there looking for an engine and transmission for my son's Corolla. According to their website a complete engine runs $174.99 plus $50 core and a transmission runs $99 plus a $10 core. Using the math I learned - and the Windows 7 Calculator - that comes out to $333.99 before their big discount. We found an engine and 5-speed trans-axle still in a 96 Corolla. In 2 hours my son, my buddy and I had the motor out, and we learned that it has a spun rod bearing. We figure "..okay, it might still be rebuildable.." So we have the guy in the Bobcat take it down to the gate. Once there the guy wearing the hard hat comes up with a number of $817 before the 25% off for "liking" them on Facebook. (...??????...)We left the motor and trans there. On the way I out I even asked the manager about it and that's when the double talk started. That was almost 3 hours ago and I'm still trying to figure out wtf he said. (..Maybe it will make sense after I have a few beers..) Right now all I know is that my son, my buddy and I just pulled a motor for them....FOR FREE!!!! Long story short, bait and switch is illegal in the state of New Mexico. Sometimes it takes a while for outfits like this to get caught, but they always do get caught. In the mean time, information is power. To anyone considering buying anything from U-Pull & Pay - Albuquerque, be VERY CAREFUL. The advertised price and the actual price do vary. I won't be going back there any time soon.

Bottom Line: U Pull - U Save

I love it! Staff is professional and courteous. It's the best $2.00 therapy around.

Albuquerque U Pull

by MarkVII , 12/24/2011

I have to admit that since the companies opening some years back, the service has gone way down and the prices have gone up. Why should I do all the work and pay the same price as the other surrounding junk yards? It is also disturbing to have to constantly walk over scattered parts all around the yard because some people are too lazy and inconsiderate to clean up after them selves. It is a hazard to walk through that yard most of the time because of all the debris left laying around. I will be doing my shopping around town from now on. Why bother with high prices, poor customer service and having to work around a real trash yard of scattered parts.

U walk around lost ....and pay

by bladerunner2000 , 02/27/2011

Been to u pull and pay since they opened and recall prices were far cheaper then as compared to now. Its now comparable to go to one of the competing junkyards and get what you need. I have noticed from my last trip to u pull and pay the specific parts I needed were needlessly destroyed by other incompetent shade tree mechanics in their zeal to remove thier own parts. Also noticed the customer service aspect of this business has deteriated signifcantly preferring to treat a customer like cattle in a slaughter house. I much rather now prefer to go to one of the surrounding salvage yards for anything I need than to have to deal with the nonsense.
