These guys will pull the rug out from under you on the day of the move by Very Disappointed - 04/08/2009
I rented a truck from the facility at 2125 Dempster St, in Evanston, IL 60201. My wife confirmed it for Saturday March 28, 2009. When I showed up to pick up the truck, the gentleman said the truck had to be returned by 2 p.m. and it should have been picked up at 7:30 a.m. This was around 9 a.m. I needed the truck for more than those hours. The gentleman didn't care and insisted that he will charge me $50 per hour for every hour I was late. He said that he had booked the truck for someone else in the afternoon by 2 p.m. and the truck had to be returned. I was stunned since we had confirmed the truck for Saturday, for at least 8 hours. The gentleman stated that someone had called us to tell us about the time restriction the day before. This was a blatant lie since either myself or my wife, had we received this alleged phone call, would have gone elsewhere and would not have rented a truck from Uhaul.
