I took my mazda 626 to this shop on 2-18-16...after multiple calls and excuses, on 4-20-16 they finally started working on it. it wasn't done until 5-2-16. When I got it back, I realized that the horn doesn't work (which it did going in) and he stated that they had done nothing anywhere near the horn. In talking to another professional, they stated that the horn is in a different location to the transmission, however, there are wirings that go over the transmission that could have been knocked loose causing the problem. Also, there are two large dents in the roof that weren't there before that this shop is not willing to take responsibility for. It looks two foot prints where a man jumped onto my roof! That weekend, I started noticing small things wrong with the transmission. It wouldn't downshift when going up a hill unless I let off the gas, then on again... it was a bit sluggish shifting on the freeway.. ect. I thought it may just be me being paranoid. Then on monday on my way to work, the transmission light goes on. I immediately called Ben, and he acted like I was an idiot. He acctually asked me if I'm sure it wasn't the check engine light! Then he sounded annoyed when I told him it was for sure the transmission, and told me to bring it back in. I'm taking it in tonight... fingers crossed it won't take another 3 months to get it fixed! I'm a single mom and can't afford to keep paying rental fees!!!
DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Severly disappointed with the service they provided. When asked when car would be done I found them repeatedly making excuses as to why it was going to be done. Took and excessive amount of time to have the work done.

I needed a new transmission for my Mazda 6 that had only 30,000 miles on it and the transmission man was fair and accurate on my estimate and my vehicle was done when promised. A month later I received a phone call from the Owner Larry to make sure my car was still running to my satisfaction. Thanks for making the best out my unfortunate transmission situation.

Larry and his staff are amazing to work with. There prices are very reasonable. And they can fix anything. Keep up the good work.

I couldn't be happier with the staff at The Transmission Man. I was treated with respect and fairly. My car has never driven this well, it's like driving a new car. I think Larry is the last honest mechanic around... He is a man of his word. I will never go elsewhere, I recommend The Transmission Man to anyone! What a great experience!

I was lost and confused for my manual transmission was stuck in reverse do to a wore out "shift tower" and a "broken shift fork".Tyler gave me hope and promise that he could rebuild my transmission for around $500...which he did!!!The dealership wanted $5000 , FIVE THOUSAND! I was just about to order a rebuilt for $1500...and pay an additional $650 to drop the old transmission and install the rebuilt! Thanks to their add in the YELLOW PAGES and this Web Sight ...I was saved and have new hope in man kind....Thanks to Tyler, Larry, and the front desk for I was treated like family and got to keep the old parts for souvenirs.
The Best of The Best

The transmission on my 04 Super duty was giving me trouble after a family vacation. I brought it to Transmission Man and they immediately took it for a road test and checked the computer codes. After diagnosis the repair was estimated and performed as per the estimate. They also installed an improved torque converter. My total was nearly half that of the local dealer and less than my diesel mechanics quote to replace with a rebuilt. The truck runs better than the day it rolled off the showroom. A perfect 10 for honesty, integrity, and care for my vehicle. Also a local family owned business which is a huge plus in my book.
Honest and Friendly

They stayed for almost an hour past close on a Friday night to finish replacing a slave cylinder on my Tacoma. The final cost was slightly less than the quote and everything works great now. The owner was very friendly and accommodating.

my clutch had gone out in my 2001 ram 2500 diesel in the middle of rush hour traffic. I called the transmission man and within a half hour their was a tow truck there to pick me up. my truck only ended up loosing the master and slave cylnder on the clutch but the repair was done in only a day and they were extremely fair priced they almost beat the cost of the parts from a large dealership on the entire repair. deffinately recommend them for everyone. their staff was extremely helpful to my situation, and very courteous. thanks tranny man
