Tooling & Equipment International is a more than 83,000-square-foot facility located in Livonia, Mich. Established in 1918, it supplies a wide range of tooling equipment. The company produces a variety of tooling equipment for the casting industry, such as lost foam, permanent and injection molds, core boxes for hot and cold processes, patterns for shell molding, fixtures, molding machines and replacement parts. It is equipped with various computerized numerical-control machines, validation equipment, computers, boring mills, lathes, electronic discharge machines and a full range of computer-aided design software. The company also manufactures and distributes blow tubes for the casting industry and has an inventory of more than 40,000 sand-injector bodies in various sizes and lengths with over 200,000 assorted elastomer tips. Additionally, it has a casting development center that has the capability of producing low-volume castings in various aluminum alloys.
