MOLTO BUONO !!!!!! FANTASTICO ...

MOLTO BUONO !!!!!! FANTASTICO !!!!!

This place is by far one of the best Italian restaurants in Connecticut !
If you want old world Italian cooking with a warm welcome go here, the food is like
FINE WINE it gets better with age, and this restaurant has been doing what they do best for 50 plus years and thats serving great food. I dine out all the time and traveled to many places around the globe, believe me this place just brings me home to comfort food.
LET ME LEAVE ALL OF THESE NEGATIVE COMMENTS A STATEMENT!!!!
There are not many restaurants that you can eat at and go back to eat at after 20 years, well that tells you something about Tony and Lucille's, I brought my friend that I graduated college with at Yale back here to eat after 20 years and he was blown away that this place still was here after all these years and the food was great.
Thanks for the memories !!!!

This past Saturday on 9/17/201...

This past Saturday on 9/17/2011, I took my family out for would have been my Dad's 90th birthday. He passed away last year and I always said to him I would give him a 90th birthday party. Well I kept my promise. During that week I meet with Donna. I told her what I wanted, she asked me what his name was and I proceeded to say his birth name was Vito, but when he was young someone had called him Peter and people continued to call him Peter for the rest of his life. I also mentioned to Donna, he always smiled. She told me she was going to bring out a pastry they have there with a candle. I indicated his favorite pastry but they didn't have it, I said ok. Needless to say, I walked in to a beautiful table, with 3 balloons, one saying Happy Birthday Peter, one, Vito, and the other smiley. When our desert arrived she brought out his favorite, went across the street to the pastry shop to get it. She addressed everyone by there first name, appetizers were wonderful, entrees excellent but the best was Donna. She was wonderful, listened to me when I spoke to her, and the balloons, and the pastry for my Dad, made it extra special. I recommend Tony & Lucille's, and please try to get Donna as your waitstaff. Everyone is so nice there. You feel like your at home. My family and my Dad thank you Donna.

Great home made food

A touch of Amalfi. A family owned place that you can get anything made you want. The food is authentic and smacks of a trip to the Amalfi coast. I have eaten there multiple times and consider it a quiet diamond. The place is not very corwded and has it's own parking lot. This is especially helpful to me because my wife is wheelchair bound. The staff treats you like family. The home made rolls and breads are incredible. The olives and goodies at the sit down are a nice touch. The deserts; well, I nor my wife have been able to eat them because of the plentiful servings.

I suggest you drop in and try the Ossa Bucco. The Calamari both fried and cold is tender and sweet. The pasta; what can I say, e primo!
