    Saved Our 60" Projection TV

    Our 60" projection TV started to get a magnet like distortion on the screen so we called a few places and got estimates and checked which ones made house calls. Some places had outrageous estimates just to come out and look at the TV without a guarantee that they would be able to fix it and some tried scheduling us up to 2 weeks down the line. Tom's was able to schedule an appointment for the NEXT DAY and had the lowest price estimate to come out and look at the TV so we went with them. The technician came out the next day(Thursday)and after looking at the TV for less than a minute he diagnosed the problem, gave us a total estimate and was on his way with the broken part of our TV, leaving the bulk of the TV which was a big convenience factor for us(thing is a pain in the a** to move). The tech told us it would take up to 2 business days to get the part in and fix it. Unfortunately this fell over Memorial day weekend so we had to use a small TV over the weekend and Monday, but as

    Called Tom's to look at a LG LCD that I was having problems turning on. The tech who responded told me I had to replace all electronic boards in the set at a cost of $430.00. I paid him $65.00 and showed him out. This guy was totally lost and figured by replacing all electronics, the problem would be fixed. The problem was a broken switch.

    My complaint sent to the BBB is too long to fit in here so to shorten it they are rude, unprofessional and it has been TWO months that they have been "working" on fixing out TV!!!

    Tom's T.V. , Inc. has been an accredited Better Business Burea member since 1997 and has an A+ rating with the BBB. The BBB determined (in December of 2007) that Tom's T.V. made a resonable effort to resolve Mr. London's complaint and closed the case. The BBB did not advise that a reimbursement be made to Mr. London. However, in order to provide good customer service, Tom's T.V.did reimburse Mr. London in December of 2007.
