Welcome to The Mountaineers Club! We are a outdoors club serving members in and around Seattle, Washington. We were formed in 1906 with the goal of exploring the wild areas and peaks surrounding the newly founded city of Seattle. Today, we have approximately 10,500 active members that get together to explore, conserve, learn about and enjoy the lands and waters of the Pacific Northwest.

We are a 501(c)4 non-profit organization that promotes outdoor recreation, education and conservation. Members pay yearly dues, but can join us on any of our free activity trips. We have trips, instructional classes and events for people of every experience level. Some of the activity offerings we have include:

• Backpacking, climbing & hiking
• Bicycling
• Kayaking & sailing
• Naturalist club
• Navigation
• Photography club
• Skiing, snowboarding & snowshoeing
• And much more

We have something for everyone, including special events for youth, families, singles and retirees. Whether you're a beginner who just wants to get outside more or an experienced outdoor enthusiast, we welcome you to join us in learning a new sport and getting to know the great outdoors, all at your own pace.
