At The High Desert Museum of natural history of the Pacific Northwest's high desert region comes alive. We are conveniently located just south of Bend, Oregon on Highway 97 and offer a variety of wildlife exhibits.Our museum helps to create learning experiences through living history, wildlife and other exhibits. Audiences of all ages can discover a connection to their past, and learn more about their responsibility for the future.
When you visit our museum you’ll be able to get up-close to live wild animals. Our wildlife exhibits include:

• Bobcats
• Raptors
The living history museum will allow you to step back in time and experience the spirit of the West. You’ll have an opportunity to visit an 1880’s homestead and see how the pioneer family lived in our challenging high desert region.
We also have other weekly and daily happenings like Totally Touchable Tales, interactive storytelling for preschoolers about animals and people of the high desert, crafts, puppets and maybe even a live animal!
