Located just two blocks east of Colorado Boulevard on Mississippi, this quaint trove of literary treasures reminds many of the classic booksellers found off cobblestone streets in the hearts of cities around the world.

The Bookies was founded more than 35 years ago by Sue Lubeck, a Denver mother who wanted her children to love books as much as she did. So she went in search of exciting and captivating books for them ... and then her friends and neighbors ... until she had filled her own home from top to bottom with books!

The Bookies has grown to include books for virtually everyone's taste and interests.
