Welcome to The Animal Store!

The Animal Store is a pet supply store located in Lincolnwood, Illinois. We are here to serve you and your pet’s every need! Our friendly and knowledgeable staff is ready to assist you with questions or concerns about any of our pets, supplies and equipment. Our inventory of animals is constantly growing and changing.

Some of the animals we have are:

- More than 100 tanks of hand-selected tropical fish to satisfy the curiosity of first-time aquarium owners and the specialized needs of fish aficionados alike, including fancy goldfish and Koi. We stock all the equipment, food, chemicals, plants, decorations and supplies you need to keep your aquarium healthy and beautiful. Aquarium set-ups are our specialty!

- A wide variety of birds, from the world's smallest parrots to large and colorful Macaws. All Animal Store birds are hand-fed in preparation to become friendly members of your family.

- A large selection of reptiles and amphibians, including lizards, snakes, turtles and newts.

- All kinds of small animals, from the expected mice, gerbils and guinea pigs, to more exotic ferrets, chinchillas and hedgehogs. And don't forget the kittens, who go out the door to new homes almost as soon as they come in. We do not sell dogs.

If you are going on vacation and can't take your pet with you, we offer animal, bird and reptile boarding. Our facility is great for all pets no matter what type. We take excellent care of your extended family member as if they were one of our own.

If you’re planning a special day for your child, include us in the fun! We come to you with an array of animals to educate the children. Just let us know what your child likes and what you feel safe with, and we'll do the rest. It’s a great idea for birthday parties!
