Beware by disappointed with service - 12/01/2009Their tag line should be changed to "we cost more than we save"! We went to Tax Help for tax years of 2007 and 2008. In 2008 I happened to catch a mistake our tax preparer made before we left the office. It was a mistake that once I brought to their attention resulted in a several hundred dollar difference in our favor. Shortly after getting our 2008 taxes done we got a letter from the IRS that our 2007 taxes had a mistake resulting in us owing over $1000 (which is fine because we would have had to pay that anyway) but also almost $300 additional dollars in penalties and interest. It was a mistake that when reviewed by another person at the Tax Help office was easily found. They did help us to file an amended return without charging us any additional money but I am still out almost $300 in penalties and interest. Their mistake but I have to pay for it?
