Founded in 1991, the Taoist Studies Institute offers classes in:

•Taiji Quan (Tai Chi Chuan)
•Bagua Zhang
•Qigong
•Meditation

•Push Hands
•Taiji weapons
•Yang Sheng (nourishing life)
•Academic classes and lectures

In addition to our regular class schedule, on a monthly basis we hold Friday evening lectures, Sunday workshops, and weekend intensives on Taijiquan, Bagua, Qigong, Meditation, or Daoist topics.

Our academic classes cover such subjects as Taoist Psychology, Taoist Cosmology, Calligraphy, Chinese Characters, and the Dao De Jing.

We have an on-site research library available to our members and a small bookstore open to the general public during class and office hours. Our bookstore inventory includes texts on Qigong, Yang Sheng, Taijiquan, Daoism, and more, as well as logowear, Taiji Sticks & Rulers, scholar stones, VCDs (Chinese DVDs), and some accessories and household items.

Beginners may start at anytime and all levels are welcome.

Mondays 9 – 11 AM and 6 – 9 PM
Tuesdays 9 – 10 AM and 6 – 9 PM
Wednesdays 9 – 10 AM and 6 – 9 PM
Thursdays 6 – 9 PM
Saturdays 8 AM – Noon

Monthly events:
Friday Evening Lecture
Sunday Workshop (one or two per month)
Weekend Intensive (includes a separate Friday Lecture, Saturday afternoon session, and full day Sunday)

Office hours:
Mondays 1 – 3:30 PM
Wednesdays 1 – 3:30 PM
