Nice Buffet by
I've gone to Takamatsu now several times for their buffet at different points throughout the year. Unfortunately they don't seem to keep the buffet as filled as they should as they have run out and there was a long waitbefore more would be ready. This has happened a couple times. However, we were always given immediate service and have never been left standing or waiting. The waitress has always taken our drink order immediately.Over the 30 years I've been here, I have been going to Takamatsu for at least 15 years. It's never been a big-name place but it has good enough food and is a nice chang from other places in town. Also, it is a nice place to get a good buffet for lunch with coworkers. I'll continue going to Takamatsu every so often for as long as I remain in Tucson.I just wish they'd bring back the General Tsao's chick wings they had on the buffet last year. Those were really good.
Poor Service !!!!!!!!!!!! by
My Wife and I received the worst service at a sushi bar at this location . We waited approx 30-40 min before our server cam back to see how our order was. This was a all you can eat sushi and we complaint to the manager which he didn't care about "The Customer is alway Right" not even we are "Sorry " or a discount this is the last time i ever visit this place . BAck to Sushi Garden where the service is 5 stars ....
Where to Start.. waited over 15 minutes after being sat down until I had to ask if there would be a waitor come by and take our order. Then they brought out the wrong drink order. I had the all you can eat shusi, which was only rolls, no shusimi. The shusi was average at best. My wife order the Tampura, do not waiste your money. The stake was over cooked barely any veggies was served. The Kids Meal was ok though. I had the Korean BBQ about four months ago and that wasn't very good at all. Over all i will never go there again
I went to Takamatsu with my friend in search of some authentic Japanese food. This place let me down. Miso soup was water down and was made of White miso. Usually its made of a blend of red and white. The bowls were all wrong too. It was like sacrilege. I am already spooked cause in japan if you can't make miso then your done. We wait a good while. Finally our order of Katsu don. Katsu means cutlet and don means over rice in Japanese. So visually its all wrong!!. Cutlet was covered in low grade breading. The other part is egg, onions and soy sauce, cooking sake, sugar and peppers. This mixture is poured over the entire cutlet. Takamatsu served it on the side. Not only that they totally jipped us by using half the egg your suppose to. Then the also served it with Tonkatsu sauce on the side. You don't do that. I am a American born and raised in Japan. 31 of my 36 years alive and I only moved here less than a year ago from Japan. Takamatsu can serve good food if they stop cutting corners.
SO FUN! by
They have great food, and a fun atmosphere. Service was excellent, and prices were great. Recommend this to anyone who wants a fun night on the town, or a first date.
