Horrific experience. Go here if your cat loves yelling, vacuums and 3 hour trips to the vet
by Katie , 11/15/2014
No communication. Was left in exam room for over 40 minutes w my stray abused cat who stopped eating while we listened to staff laugh and yell over the VACUUM cleaner that was ran for 40 mins knocking into every wall and door over and over.We were the only ones there, I was told by staff to come NOW for appt bc we were coordinating a good time when there would be the least amount of people/animals there. Despite that, we were forgotten about and my cat was truly traumatized after the vacuum and yelling then taking him back to the xray room for 45 min after I was told 3 TIMES not to leave for more than 10-15 mins bc they were closing. As I waited I grew very upset, worrying and thinking the worst that they had found something on the xray or blood work which is why they were keeping him back there so long, even though all I heard in the xray room was laughing. after 2 hours there, I couldn't take it anymore and I told the front desk girl that I was going to walk back there if she didn't tell me SOMETHING. she knocked on the xray door and said the lady is asking how much longer. They then came out and put me and my cat back in an exam room. His head was wet and he was shaking uncontrollably which of course made me more upset wondering what the h they did to him back there while they were having a great ol time. Asked the Dr (new Dr, very young) who told me oh um when they were stretching him out trying to get the xray that kept malfunctioning and were holding him down he peed a little bit. Although it was honest, it bothered me knowing they were back there stretching and holding him down multiple times for an hour while they laughed not to mention how much radiation he was given bc they couldn't get the proper picture. I was putting him in his cat carrier when I noticed a large streak of blood that covered the length of the table. Broke down crying again and walked out asking why he's bleeding so much and what is going on here??!!? He said it was from them taking blood and it should stop soon and that they couldn't put anything on it to make it stop. That continued for 2 HOURS at home after we left. What did they do jab a needle all up and down through his leg trying to get the vein I mean come on. this happened a month or 2 ago and I tried to just chalk it up but it still bothers me everytime I think of it and this week when I had to take him to the vet for his regular check up he was more than petrified and that was before I put him in his carrier. He's been on 2 32 hour cross country trips w me and has been to the vet (different one) multiple time and has never peed in his carrier but the 3 min ride to my normal vet this week he peed. Maybe he had to go but to me it was obvious when he flipped out from the second he saw the carrier. Terrible experience at this once very high standards vet and hospital but the long time Dr is no longer there and clearly the standards are not being upheld. I would be leery leaving your pets here and though they are literally right across the street from me, I will never go here again unless he is on his death bed and I have no other option.
They are always compassionate, considerate, and helpful.

My mother passed away several days before Thanksgiving. We live out of town and all my breeding/dog sitting options were leaving for the holiday. We had to bring our 15 year old and 5 month old dogs with us, and it wasn't good for them to be at my parents' home. Tails-A-Waggin was my angel boarder! They took the worry about my girls off my shoulders and enabled us to concentrate on my elderly father and family. Wonderful people, happy dogs!
This is the best vet office ever

My husband and I have started fostering rescue dogs. These dogs have major problems, from behavioral to medical. All the staff treat them with love and respect. Dr. Mogavero saved the life of our most recent foster. She required two surgeries for huge bladder stones which her previous owner and the shelter had allowed to grow untreated. If it wasn't for the staff at Tails A Waggin, she would have died.
Capable, Compassionate Care

I am new to the area and I had brought the family down for a nice vacation. I had an emergency with our family dog and I had no clue what to do. Several people in the area recommended Tails-A-Waggin Animal Hospital. After searching on the internet I spoke with one of the receptionists. She couldn't have been more friendly and understanding about my situation. They were very compassionate, the Doctor was very professional and kind to myself and Chip, my dog! I was able to calm down, knowing that we were dealing with someone so capable. I would recommend this facility to any one who needs pet care!
Wow, what a great experience....

I couln't say enough about Tails A Waggin Animal Hospital-Wow what a Great Experience! The staff was wonderful and couldn't be nicer. Dr. Mogavero gave me so much information and was so helpful in explaining my pet's disease. I came in all worried and left at ease. Recently I had to experience a family member in the hospital and it was like pulling teeth to get any information. Dr. Mogavero was able to explain in detail and answered all of my questions and concerns. I am so grateful and just want to say THANK YOU! P.S. Love the dog park!
