These guys got my serve done the next day, even though they said it would take longer. Every time i spoke to someone there, they seemed to be very informative about the process and what should happen next. I would definitely use them again if i needed it.

It's an employment scam. You work for free 90% of the time and are told things will get better by the time you're broke and they have made plenty off of you. Also they directly encourage you to lie to people about what service of process you have or worse.

It does not matter if you are the husband or not. You are a cohabitant of the residence and are perfectly able to accept service for that woman. If she ignores the summons a summary judgment can be handed down to the respondent in that case. The process serving company should have known this too.

This is not true, a cohabitant cannot accept service, only a relative living there, this is what I require. You seem to be giving advice in my reviews and giving me a 1 star poor review. This is not the place to offer your legal advice (wrong as it is) and at the same time giving a poor review.

    They don't seem to listen

They have contempt for the paying customer and insult you when you ask about your case. My boyfriend was trying to serve his ex-business partner and had all the information but they never gave the information to the one actually doing the service. There is no real communication at this company and when my boyfriend questioned why there was still no service three weeks later they said it was his fault.I thought when you pay someone they work for you but not at this company. They are really bullies and no one should ever get involved with them unless you like paying someone to insult you for their incompetence.

Without doubt, this was written by a past process server with a grudge. There is no reason for Sweep Stakes to ever have contempt toward a paying customer. We will only charge our clients if we serve the document. This review has many faults in it. We want to serve the document as soon as possible and if new information is given, we want to act on it quickly. We are only given so much time to serve the document and sitting on it refusing to serve it just makes no sense at all. Why would we bully a client and chase them away to never use us again? If we were really not wanting to serve it, we would not take the case. If Elizabeth or her boyfriend wishes to address this with me, the owner, Tom Mills, I will be happy to speak to you. If for some reason you paid for a service that was not done, please contact me immediatly for we never keep money if the service was not completed.

    Improper Service of Process

    by NotHerHusband , 09/19/2011

My girlfriend was served papers by Sweep Stakes twice in the past two years. The first time, the server handed them to her then roommate (who was not her husband) and claimed that he was her husband on the return of service, even though he would never say that. The second time, the server handed them to me (who is not her husband) and claimed that I was her husband on the return of service, even though I responded simply "I'm the guy who lives here" when the server asked who I was. I made no claim to kinship and the server lied on the return of service.

    Response from Business - 2012-11-11 00:01:21
If this truely happened, the quash of service should have dismissed the serve. We have all of our services recorded and if there are any problems with any serve and the server for the company lies, we encourage for the server to be put up for charges. I hope your girlfriend put a quash of service in and notified Sweep Stakes of this problem. We will always side on the law, and the recordings will usually take care of the bad service.
