I have a chronic lung condition that is very manageable with the correct medication (a very cheap steroid). The Nurse Practitioner I was seeing wrote a script for the med to be taken as needed. My instructions were to call in a refill if and when I needed it. After many months I finally had a need and called it in. Most of a week has gone by and nothing... now rather than a minor issue fixed with a $10 med I will be going to the emergency room and looking at a much larger bill. The NP apparently failed to write a note in my chart and since she was on vacation the rest of the office refused to deal with it until she returned. UPDATE: I got a call later in the evening from one of the doctors. They wanted to help - This doctor went the extra mile and I am grateful.

I was made to feel at ease by both people at the desk and the person that took me back and took my vitals along with asking questions about my visit. He was gentle, sincerely concerned and compassionate. The woman whom came in to take care of my wound was none of the above! I returned 2 times and still she did not dress the wound correctly and actually bandaged it so tight that my thumb became black and blue and swollen. I had to finally go to the emergency room at Oak Hill where the doctor there released the bandage, dressed my wound correctly and had me ice the now swollen thumb to reduce the swelling. I had no further problems after this. The staff was exceptionally warm and caring, so I guess it depends who is on call when you get there for a "doctor"

It is a little bit of a wait to get in but so worth it!! I went before to get flu medicine. Today I was having dizzy spells and was very worried that something serious was wrong. I don't go to a doctor unless I have a serious problem. Dr. Hernandez gave me a quick procedure and I am doing wonderful! I never would have believed that I could walk out and be okay that fast.
