The State Of The Arts Studio philosophy is based on the belief that to acquire a developed understanding of dance, and the proper technique on which to safely build an individual style, the student must have a strong, thorough and disciplined education. Beyond that a student’s enjoyment and confidence rank as the highest priority. At State Of The Arts we think that a student should leave his or her class each week with a personal sense of accomplishment, the self-discipline to practice and perfect what they know, and the motivation to learn more.

Ms. McLean has enjoyed a career in dance and the performing arts for over 25 years. She is an accomplished dancer in all disciplines, a talented, experienced choreographer, a prize winner in Swing Dance competitions at the National level, and a former NFL Cheerleader with the Washington Redskinettes.
