The food was wonderful. Waitresses were friendly , Stables was busy as always, and the ladies still had smiley faces.

Buffet cost $22.60. I must have had bad timing. On the buffet were 3 pieces of burned ribs, 2 pieces of chicken, okra, and 2 pieces of dried bread. There was a nice salad buffer. Our waitress never checked on us.

Don't go!!!! I went today with a couple of coworkers. And we will never be back. First we had a 20 min wait and there were open tables everywere, which we only get an hour lunch. Second it took forever to get our food we ordered 2 lunch potato skins and I had a salad and side of mashed potatoes. Third we sat in the section that faced the parking lot and mold was falling off the air conditioner unit into our food and drinks and water dripping from it spalshing on me. It was rediculous. I didn't even get to eat my meal. I told my waitress and she said her boss couldn't do anything about it. Then I talk to the owner, she didn't even apologize, how rude, and then didn't comp our meals let alone mine which received the most damage. I left disgusted and offended, I will not recommend this place to anyone. and to add to it we waited in line to pay for 20 min we were 30 min late from lunch!

stables has really good food but it is really rude how the waitstaff horse plays around, they r immature at time's , they also need to stop texting on thier cell phones while thier supposed to be working.

i think stables has the best food in town. the service could be a little better. i get hungry everytime i drive by there cause u can smell the cooking from the smoke house.

Stables is the place in Guthrie to go for a really good burger and it comes with a plateful of fries. The place is in an old building decorated with old signs and antiques. The service is average but the burgers are always good...except for the time they put thirty seven pickles on it and soaked the bun.

The aroma of bar-b-que and fried onions travels throughout the downtown area and all the way to my house in the historical district. I have dined there hundreds of times over the years and have tried almost everything on the menu. The food is excellent and it can be hard to choose what to order since they offer such a wide variety of delicious items. Their portions are super sized and impossible for the average person to consume. The place is decorated with old signs and memorabilia. They have room to seat large groups so it is a good place to go when you have a party of 10-20. Their burgers are the best in Oklahoma. They also have the best child's menu. The service is good and they are fast in getting you your food during the lunch hour. If you come to Guthrie, OK you should not miss the opportunity to dine at the Stables Cafe.

I was in Guthrie last night and ate dinner here. Very good food, but the service was bad. It took over 10 minutes from being seated to being waited on for drinks. Kept having to find the hostess every-time I needed anything.
