The early members of the groups that eventually became The United Methodist Church took strong stands on issues such as slavery, smuggling, and humane treatment of prisoners; established institutions for higher learning; started hospitals and shelters for children and the elderly; became actively involved in efforts for world peace; adopted a Social Creed and Social Principles to guide them as they relate to God’s world and God’s people; participated with other religious groups in ecumenical efforts to be in mission.

In contrast, the TOT Learning Center and Preschool promotes Christian values, but is not religion-centered. We welcome you to our warm and caring community! TLC & Preschool is a non-profit organization and part of the church's large network of Outreach Ministries which serve the Santa Fe community. The Four Star (State of NM rating) program serves children between the ages of three months and five years in five developmentally staged classrooms.
