I tried to drop off 320 lbs of Cast Iron - The guy I talked to said they charge to take iron. I was able to get .07/lbs at the next scrap yard I could find - I wonder if the problem is the lack of color in my skin. Glad I drove that far to get turned away.

I have been coming here for years, and I am confused as how someone could ever write a bad review of this company. My weights always check out with theirs, the prices paid have always been within a few cents, higher or lower than anyone else's and they will even match anyone else's pricing. I am taken care of right away, even when I showed up during the lunch hour, and the area is fully blacktopped and very clean. And or course they do receive my scrap iron anytime I bring it. They have been in business forever, and it is because they have a special way of treating their customers. They even give you a free gift every time you show up. I highly recommend this facility.

Every time I go to yard the workers are sooo slow. Its frustrating.

Whoever wrote the first review apparently a)works for Saint Charles Scrap or b) is 100 retarded and was fed paint chips as a child and are unable to pick up a phone and call any other scrap company to see they are being ripped off. I just called redline scrap metals in addison and copper 1 tubing was 1.95 a pound and st. charles is $1.35 a pound. Also, every time I use to go to St. Charles Scrap they would try changing the weights from what the machine read even when I was standing right over them, making copies of everything I saw. Nonetheless, it is a dirty place with dirty people. DON'T GO THERE.

Plenty of safe blacktopped room to unload. The workers are always there to help. Great prices, and cash and a gift. Safe for everyone. These people have been in business for over 35 years. And I always see the same people. They must like working there.

Called them and they will not take iron or steel, contrary to DEX listing.
