What happened to true "customer service"?
by JessB , 05/08/2010
After the company I was with sold everyone's accounts to Sprint, I was thrilled thinking that it would be the same Sprint I loved years ago. Today, I'm beyond annoyed. I broke my phone (don't drop anything on a touch screen phone btw!), called up their customer service and was told I could take it to the local store and replace it for $100 (insruance deductible) or have it repaired for free. So I called this store, spoke to one of their reps (had to hold for 10 mins...) and was told replacement was $100 but repair was $119- even with insurance. I went in today, spoke to the manager and he told me that repairs aren't possible, the replacement was $119. I informed him of what I'd been told- both by the rep there and on their customer service line, he basically shrugged and said "they were wrong". I left feeling frustrated and annoyed- granted it's only a $20 difference but it's the principle to me. Three reps, three different stories, and no one seems to care...
Worst Sprint Store

There is another Sprint Store located a mile away - better yet, go online. This store does not offer all the discounts and even when the phone does not work, they will try to charge a $35 restock fee during the trial period. The wait times are horrible, even with an appointment. I've been a customer with Sprint for years with no problems until I walked in the front of this store. Sprint is doing itself a disservice by keeping it open.
