Most people write to complain but this location deserves a 5 star review! I travel often and have never received such fantastic service as I did from my stay here. I have never been to Illinois before so as you could imagine, I didn't know the area nor what to expect. I was visiting from NJ to see my boyfriend graduate at the Great Lakes Naval Base and I want to start with Kevin the manager for even making the trip possible! Brad who greeted us with a beautiful smile and manners the first day we walked in! He was very polite and knowledgeable about the area. He suggested places to eat and visit and he gave us coupons. We visited some of those recommended areas and had a great time! Another worker, Chris puts a whole new meaning on "offering the shirt off his back" My sailors uniform shoes were cutting the back of his heels and causing him pain the same day we had plans to do a lot of walking around Downtown Chicago. Chris literally donated his marathon sneakers to my sailor who happened to be the same exact shoe size! It was like Chris was an angel sent from heaven! My sailor is still using those shoes this very day! And lastly Elisha the bartender who at first she appeared stand offish but the more my travel partner and I visited the bar when Elisha was working, she became more personable and opened up. She ended up being very funny and nice and contributed to our wonderful time! The rest of the staff including the cleaners were all very, very nice and acknowledged us with smiles and "hello's" but these were the four people that stood out and captured our hearts! Not only will I continue to use that facility for my future visits to see my sailor but I will make sure to recommend that specific hotel to other people I know looking to visit Illinois!
