Not too happy with the service here.... by Gladstoner - 10/14/2009I own a bar and went to Specialty Coin to buy an electronic dart board. They gave me the runaround, because one of their longtime customers was the vendor from whom I was currently renting my dartboard. They didn't want to anger the other guy. They sold me a machine off their sales floor, then a week later when I was supposed to pick it up they told me it wasn't theirs to sell. Another customer had actually brought it in to get fixed. Wow. Really? You don't know your own stock? Then he sold me on another model, which three days later was also "not available" after all. I told him he shoulda just told me up front he didn't want to sell to me, and he said that the situation was "complicated". My conclusion is this: when going to Specialty Coin, all customers are not equal. I ended up going to Mountain Coin instead. Friendly, helpful, straightforward, good prices.
